Evanston: tuliptini
Evanston: tuliptini
While running errands Saturday morning, we noticed for the first time this year, tulips growing beside sidewalks and near intersections in downtown Evanston, which inspired us later to buy some cut tulips ourselves. The stem of one broke, and Carol decided that it fit best in a martini glass, thus inventing a new drink: the tuliptini, which presently sits on our mantle. Made with five parts water, not gin. Add no vermouth. Don’t stir or shake. I expect that it looks better than it tastes.
