Evanston: the little empty
Evanston: the little empty
It happens that an article of mine, “The Big Empty,” about sailing from Cairns to Cape York, Australia, three years ago is running in the current issue of CRUISING WORLD. These photos of ‘the little empty’ were taken yesterday.
Stuff was piled on the v-berth or in the cockpit.
The blue lines visible in the top two photos control the backstay, which runs below deck until it surfaces at the main traveler.
A lifting eye is attached to one of the keel bolts. Many Moore 24s are dry-sailed and launched by cranes.
Obviously I need to clean up and touch up. The tubes and tracks for the quarter berths will be repainted black.
That’s for tomorrow or next week, when allegedly the cushions will be ready. They were supposed to be last Thursday, but I never believed that.
Today we go sailing.
